Courage
I used to be afraid, but now not so much. I used to tremble at the thought of a star exploding, a comet hitting the Earth, a corrupt government taking over during a pandemic, just like in V for the Vendetta, but how can I fear if none of this is real? How can I be afraid if I have seen beyond the veil? What is there to tremble about if all of this is an illusion.
If someone asked you to play a completely immersive game, but the only flip-side would be that you had to forget everything that ever happened before the game started, would you choose to play? Would you choose to be a creature of amnesia for a once in a soul time opportunity?
Sometimes fear tries to cripple us; it’s like shadow demons that lurk in the dark. As we run from these demons, they grow stronger, faster, more cunning. Can you face these shadows? If you do, can you see they are your shadows? You are the only one in the ring fighting these elusive demons.
We got caught up in our fears. We created monsters in other people, and in defence, these people created monsters in us.
Thus, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Courage begins by looking into the void of your Soul. Strength starts at holding what you fear by the hand and guiding it back home. Honour is at the gates of accepting those you deem less than yourself. Break the ego like a fragile glass and set yourself free from fear of the other, the unknown, the enemy.
You are the only one in the ring fighting shadows cast by your ego, and there is nothing to fear but fear itself.
