Full Moon in Capricorn

The last couple of years might have been tough, to say the least, on all of us.

The last couple of years might have been tough, to say the least, on all of us. I like it that we are all in it together. It’s nice that we were reminded that we are all human, vulnerable to sickness. Despite our differences, we have one enemy in common. Death.

We all die. Each and every single one of us. That is until we begin to upload our consciousness into Facebook, IG, and P**nhub for those wanting the most adventurous afterlife. I say, f**k that. Where is the guarantee that I won’t be giving up an awesome afterlife? Anywho. That got weird fast.

The point is gratitude. I know it feels like a jump in topics but stays with me if you dare. When a person is reminded that one day they will die or the thing they love might die, they experience a rude awakening. I do not mean an intellectual understanding of the concept of dying. Instead, I am talking about an emotional experience. A feeling so deep it completely shakes you up and forces you to change your attitude.

These rude awakenings are crucial for improving our life. Yet, somehow, we are reminded that we can achieve more and have a better existence than previously tolerated.

“Live your best life” is that still a trending slogan? If anything, it is a Capricornian concept. Capricorn, the old sea goat, has already got himself the essentials. What else is out there? Some people find satisfaction and pleasure in cars, houses, and purses. That is also Capricorn with a dash of Taurus.

Others delight in pursuits of building long-term structures. Lasting relationships that gain value, like old wine with each year passing. Honest businesses with long-term people, as Naval Ravikant would say. And an open relationship with themselves that grows more meaningful as the person begins to shed their BS ;-)

That is Capricorn. Illuminated by the full moon, we can witness what we have manifested so far.

This is the time of gratitude.

You have been tested. You have been defeated. You have been let down, devastated, and lost. Yet, somehow, you found a way. Somehow, you are still standing. Somehow, there is still ground beneath your feet and a will to continue.

Be. Grateful.
